About FEDMA

The Federation of European Data and Marketing (FEDMA) is a leading advocacy trade association in Brussels, representing the operational heart of responsible, data-driven marketing in Europe. Unlike associations focused on global platforms or large advertisers, FEDMA champions the voices of marketing service providers, national DMAs, and SMEs, those who implement campaigns and manage data on the ground. We are uniquely positioned to translate complex EU legislation, such as the GDPR and upcoming AI rules, into practical guidance. We focus on making regulation not only ambitious, but also workable, ensuring that responsible marketing can thrive in a privacy-first environment.

FEDMA is at the heart of a powerful network of 21 Data & Marketing Associations (DMAs) and just as many leading industry members. Its strength comes from the participation of representatives from most EU Member States, distilling views into a cohesive set of policies for the European Institutions across the full spectrum of data driven and digital marketing. FEDMA’s primary focus is achieving the correct balance between innovation and privacy, with a particular focus on the application of data protection legislation to customer communication and experience. Our expert knowledge of data is across consumer, privacy and competition sectors. FEDMA also sits on the GDPR implementation expert group of the European Commission
