Telemarketing B2B/B2C – Opt-out

B2B & B2C – Opt-out

It is permissible to carry out unsolicited direct marketing by phone (live voice calls) to either corporate or individual subscribers unless they have previously objected to unsolicited direct marketing by phone from the caller; or have registered their telephone number on the Telephone Preference Service (consumers, sole traders partnerships and their staff) or on the Corporate Telephone Preference Service (public limited companies, companies, universities, Government Departments).

Unsolicited marketing calls made using recorded messages require the prior consent (opt-in) of the recipient.

When an organisation is calling a customer, it should inform them about the name of the person responsible for the direct marketing call and, on request, an address or telephone number where he can be reached free of charge. The calling number must be displayed.
