In January 2017, the European Commission published a proposal for an ePrivacy Regulation.
Croatian ePrivacy laws are contained in:
- the Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette nos. 73/08, 90/11, 133/12, 80/13, 71/14, 72/2017, “ZEK”) implementing the EU Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive
- the Consumer Protection Act (Official Gazette nos. 41/2014, 110/2015)
- other e-laws, such as the Electronic Commerce Act (Official Gazette nos. 173/03, 67/08, 36/09, 130/11, 30/14, 14/2019, “ZET”).
The public authority entrusted with the supervision of the implementation of the respective provisions of ZEK is the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries.
