Marketing, AI, and Ethics: BAM’s Perspective with Karine Ysebrant

In the rapidly evolving world of AI-powered marketing, the need for ethical guidance has never been more urgent. At FEDMA, we support BAM’s (Belgian Association of Marketing) commitment to ensuring that innovation goes hand in hand with responsibility.
In a recent webinar, BAM took a deep dive into the AI & Ethical Charter, a joint initiative FEDMA developed with its members to guide marketers in the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The session featured Karine Ysebrant, a leading voice in ethical marketing and a member of BAM’s Think Tank Ethics, who provided an insightful overview of what the Charter is, why it matters, and how it can be applied in everyday marketing practice.
As AI transforms the marketing landscape, the need for ethical standards becomes more critical than ever. This Charter is not just a set of guidelines – it is a tool to empower marketers to make smart, responsible choices that respect consumer trust and data dignity.
The webinar also featured Florent Diverchy (Produpress), José Fernandez (D’Ieteren), and Tim Colman (Proximus), who shared their perspectives on how ethical AI is shaping their companies’ strategies.
