It is possible to make direct marketing calls to organisations unless they have registered on the internal Do Not Contact list of the marketing organisation concerned, or on the Direct Marketing Association’s Do Not Contact list.

 

B2C

It is possible to make direct marketing calls to individuals unless the individual’s telephone number is registered on the Do Not Contact Database of the DMA or on the internal Do Not Contact list of the marketing organisation concerned. The DMA Database is only accessible to DMA members. Marketers must limit the hours to perform marketing calls to the following:

  • 08:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays; and
  • 09:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

These restrictions refer to the time zone of the call recipient. It is not allowed to perform direct marketing calls on Sundays and statutory public holidays.
