  • The Finnish Mail Preference Service contains the following data of those registered: name, address, postal code, city, and date of registration. The service allows the individual to register their wish not to receive direct mail.
  • Maintained by the Data & Marketing Association Finland (FIDMA – ASML) and operated by Posti Group Company which is the Finnish postal operator. Also known as Post-Robinson list.
  • Registration: Addressed direct marketing can be restricted by registering to the service by using a free form available from post offices throughout the country (stamp required). The restriction is valid for 3 years.
  • Not a legal requirement but a best practice required by the ASML Code of Practice.
  • 52469 consumer addresses registered (February 2020).

 

  • The Finnish Telephone Preference Service contains the following data of those registered: name, address, postal code, city, telephone number, and date of registration. The service allows the individual to register their wish not to receive telemarketing calls (compulsory for DMA member companies).
  • Maintained by the Data & Marketing Association Finland (FIDMA – ASML). It is possible to restrict direct telesales by registering to the service by calling to the service number +358 600 13404 (Mon-Fri, 8am to 6pm). Calls to the service cost EUR 0.39 per minute, to which local network rates (pvm) are added; queuing is free of charge. Also known as Robinson list.
  • Aimed at natural persons who can be registered for 3 years (not companies).
  • Not a legal requirement but required by the ASML Code of Practice.
  • 287 003 individuals registered (February 2020).

  • A service of the Population Information System. The Finnish Population Information System is a computerised national register that contains basic information about Finnish citizens and foreign citizens residing in Finland on a permanent or temporary basis.
  • Data collected from the Population Register Centre. The Finnish Population Register Centre and local register offices merged to form a new Digital and Population Data Services Agency in 1 January 2020.
