The Electronic Communications Act’s objective is to provide equity and transparency as conditions for development of competition in provision of electronic communications, to support the development of the internal market of electronic communications, and to protect the interests of the end-users in Bulgaria.

The Communications Regulation Commission is an independent national body responsible for controlling and regulating electronic communications by implementing the state sector policies. It has the authority to impose regulatory measures to protect fair competition playing filed and consumers’ interests as a response to complaints.
