Direct Mailing is regulated by Gewerbeordnung / GewO 1994, §151 (trade law, para. 151), the Telecommunication Act (Telekommunikationsgesetz 2003), in sections 5a – 5h, 28a and 31a of the Consumer Protection Act (Konsumentenschutzgesetz) and the Federal Act concerning the Protection of Personal Data (Datenschutzgesetz 2000).
