What do you think about the following definition? Please feel to rewrite, comment etc here!The FEDMA [SPONSORNAME] Direct Marketer of the Year Award has been created by FEDMA to provide the direct and interactive marketing industry in Europe with a means of recognising the achievements of an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the direct and interactive marketing industry. The nominee must be an individual whose contributions stand out or who has materially contributed to the growth and success of an area of direct and Interactive marketing, preferably within the area of pan-European Direct and interactive Marketing. The award is presented once each year. In 2009 the Award winner will be presented in conjunction with the NEXT Marketing conference in Barcelona, which takes place from the 5th. to the 7th. In my opinion critical mass in # of respondents is crucial for email marketing benchmarks to provide value. But I am sure there is a need for it, and we simply need to clarify what exactly it is what would like to benchmark, and - equally important - how we are going to promote participation across Europe.Moreover, I believe it is important to collect data from end-users as well as agencies and email service provicers.
