FEDMA Seminar on Direct and Interactive Marketing

PRESS RELEASE
Brussels,15 February 2007

FEDMA SEMINAR ON DIRECT AND INTERACTIVE MARKETING

In response to popular demand, FEDMA today hosted its third one-day seminar on direct and interactive marketing to provide professionals, who carry out direct and interactive marketing campaigns, with practical knowledge on the latest and future developments in Europe.

Today’s seminar attracted a very high calibre of speakers including Emma Lawson, VP Global Direct Marketing of Reader’s Digest, Jos Burger from Goodmail Systems Europe and Marian Seitan of Hit Mail Romaniaand immediate part-chairman of the Romanian DMA.

The seminar speakers were selectively chosen in order to ensure that seminar participants gained useful, practical, and concrete knowledge on the direct marketing industry in Europe, which they will be able to utilize in their professional work on a daily basis.

The seminar covered practical aspects of data protection, sales promotion, email marketing, database marketing and loyalty programmes, as well as the opportunities available in the two new EU markets; Romania and Bulgaria. The success of the seminar was reflected by the enthusiastic response to the event and, like the previous seminar held in September 2006, tickets had sold out in days.

“I believe we need more initiatives such as these seminars from FEDMA at the pan-European level to show the key initiatives emanating from different countries”, said Jos Burger from Goodmail Systems Europe.

The first such FEDMA Seminar took place in February 2006. Due to the success of this event, FEDMA will continue to plan for future seminars in 2007. For more information, please contact Anne M. Storen.
