All our Committees:
Legal Affairs Committee: The Legal Affairs Committee oversees all legal aspects of the lobby / public affairs activities that FEDMA undertakes, and sets out the strategies that the Public Affairs team pursues. Here you will have direct access and influence on our lobbying activities. You are also encouraged to share your expertise and experiences in order for FEDMA to influence the EU institutions with good examples.
Postal Affairs Committee: The FEDMA Postal Affairs Committee (PAC) is a centre of excellence and think-tank for the postal sector and wider mailing industry. The Committee oversees all postal related public affairs activities that FEDMA undertakes, and sets out a strategy for the lobby activities that the Public Affairs team pursues. The Postal Affairs Committee is chaired by Mr Tim Walsh, Pitney Bowes, and brings together companies and associations involved in postal affairs
Ethics Committee was created to debate and agree the instigation and update of FEDMA’s self-regulatory codes.
Environment Committee: The Environment Committee was set up in May 2005 to oversee all environmental related public affairs activities that FEDMA undertakes, and sets out a strategy for the lobby activities that the Public Affairs team pursues.
All Committees meet four times a year.
All our Councils:
List Council: The List Council is a pan-European network of more than 45 list brokers, list managers, list owners, and users from 17 countries, who have joined forces in order to discuss common issues, exchange information, and find solutions to European problems in the list industry. The List Council meets two times a year. Once in Europe and once in the US during the Annual DMA conference.
FEDMA’s Interactive Marketing Council (FIMAC): The underlying idea is that FIMAC will provide anyone doing pan-European campaigns invaluable input no other forum can beat. FIMAC will consist of an “exclusive” group of FEDMA members. There is no limit on how many members who can benefit. The Council will be coordinated by FEDMA and its leadership will be rotated amongst the attendees. The meetings/workshops will be mostly held in Brussels at the FEDMA offices although they can also be organised during international events or as webinars.
FEDMA Financial Services Council: The objectives of the Council are to consider best practices for cross-border marketing of Financial Services, to develop best practices which could help marketers to understand better their obligations and rights in the EU Single Market and to influence regulators and ease the legal burden of members. The overall mission is to provide a platform to improve the marketing of financial services via best practices; to share knowledge and to advise on current issues.
Our newsletters: The Weekly update:A unique newsletter which is sent out only to all national DMAs and Corporate Associate members. Gives you updates on the latest issues in the FEDMA lobby, and pan-European news related to our lobbying activities.
Membership news: A monthly e-newsletter that goes out to all members. It includes general news about FEDMA and the direct and interactive marketing industry as a whole. If You would like to advertise in this newsletter you will have five inserts for free as part of your Corporate Associate membership fee.
FEDMA events update: A short newsletter describing, and sometimes reviewing, international direct and interactive marketing events. For example, You can promote its events here.
Our publications:
Free access to all our publications, downloadable from the FEDMA website. It includes; FEDMA Legal Fact Pack, FEDMA Postal Fact Pack, The Global Guide to Preference Services and Robinson Lists, Statistics, and last but not least the brand new FEDMA benchmark report on email marketing (finalised Dec 2008 if all goes to plan). For 2009 we plan to expand this benchmark study to direct mail as well.
General services:
Legal advice: You will benefit from our expertise in relevant aspects of the “legal jungle” within Europe. We pride ourselves in giving practical advice relevant to the success of any campaign whether it is a simple mail campaign, or a multi channel multi country campaign.
Networking opportunities: Through us you will have doors opened to trustworthy and relevant partners. FEDMA also arranges networking parties and meetings in Europe and beyond. There are also elements of sponsorship opportunities related to these events.
New marketing techniques: As a FEDMA member you will be updated on all new technical developments in terms of new communication channels and response mechanisms. You will also be able to promote your own services.
FEDMA webinars and seminars: FEDMA organises frequent free or low-cost webinars and seminars all with one aim: to supply attendees with new practical and relevant information that they can use to improve their direct and interactive marketing activities.
