8-9th February in Davos, SwitzerlandCommunication on Top 2010The 2010 Forum will to be held 8-9th February in Davos, Switzerland.
The goal of the Forum is to provide a platform for discussion on the role of communications in business and politics, to provoke in-depth analysis of the form and content of interaction between business professionals, the media and society, on the one hand, and the state, on the other. The Forum will examine: how to create a ‘media image’; how this image affects consumers and business partners and gets messaged to people from all social groups both rich and poor; how to manage successful brands by using both words and images.
What we need is an integrated global system for distributing best practices in the management of social and corporate communications and media. Equally necessary is a method of analysing problems and finding solutions to help top managers, and through the exchange of ideas and opinions to find a way of improving their own efficiency. The Forum launches the process of developing of this strategy.
Discussion topics at «Communications on Top» 2010
The topics below are all related to the need for communications experts.
· The threat posed by changes in business patterns and communication strategies as a result of the world financial crisis. What part do communications play in business?
· How companies and organisations can construct a new approach and understand the new relationship between business and government. Is a new system of business communications needed?
· The crash of the stock market and the end of the system of public appraisal of corporations. What next – reanimation or reinvention?
· The development of 3.0WEB communications is changing the structure of the media. Is there conflict between creativity and efficiency? Are we ready to face this challenge?
· The contradiction between the growth of dialogue culture and preserving the traditional pattern of assigning authority to governing institutions, social control resting with those in power.
· The teen sub-culture – a new/old source for marketing and political projects? Ecological projects - are they best developed via the internet or the TV?
Immediately following the World Economic Forum, participants of “Communications on Top” forum 2010 are invited to discuss the important communications-related topics from the WEF.
